This notice outlines the types of personal data that may be collected through an individual’s use of the interactive audiobook made available to you as an Alexa skill (the “Skill”) in partnership with Save The Children.
This notice applies to any individual who interacts or otherwise uses the Skill (“you”).
To use the Skill we, MediaCom Holdings Limited, do not require you to submit or provide personal data to us, however, please be aware that it does require you to talk to Alexa. Your questions and commands are recorded by Amazon Digital Services LLC (with its affiliates, “Amazon”).
Amazon will process and retain information related to your and your child’s use of the Skill, including audio recordings, in accordance with their own policies and procedures and including to ensure that the Skill responds to your commands and to provide and improve your experience of the Skill.
For more information about how Amazon uses your data, please read Amazon.co.uk’s Privacy Notice. Should your audio recording contain personal data (including sensitive personal data) this personal data will also be recorded by Amazon.
At the time of writing Amazon provides you with the ability to review and delete your and your child’s audio recordings via the following steps:
Open the Alexa app on your smartphone and tap the menu button to open the side bar.
Select Alexa Account
Select History. Here you can see audio recordings retained by your device.
Select a recording
Select Delete voice recordings.
