Terms of use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to the interactive story skill “Mica’s Moon School” made available on Alexa (the “Skill”) provided to you by us, MediaCom Holdings Limited, a limited liability company with registration number (03525784) in partnership with Code Computerlove and Save the Children*.

BY USING THE SKILL YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS.

By using the Skill, you confirm that you accept these Terms and you agree to comply with them.

 

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Skill.

 

We may amend these Terms from time to time. Every time you use our Skill please check these Terms, your continued use of our Skill constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

 

We recommend that you print a copy of these Terms for reference.

 

You are responsible for ensuring that anyone who accesses the Skill through your Alexa device or app is made aware of these Terms and complies with them.

 

Use of the Skill requires a compatible Alexa device or Alexa app, internet access and certain software which may require periodic updates as well as an Amazon Alexa account.  Access to the Skill may be affected by these factors.

Donation

Our Skill is made available to you free of charge.

Users over the age of 18 are invited to make a donation to Save the Children via a link on the Save the Children website.  Please note that this payment is made direct to Save the Children and we do not receive this donation or any funds relating to the Skill.

How you may use our skill

We do not guarantee that our Skill will always be available or be uninterrupted.  We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or any part of the Skill at any time.

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights within our Skill.  Those rights are protected by copyright laws and treaties globally.  All such rights reserved.

These Terms grant permission to you, in your individual capacity to use the Skill for personal, non-commercial home use only.

 

Under no circumstances may you:

  1. Modify or create derivative works based on the Skill

  2. Use the Skill in any manner which suggests an association with any other products, services or brands.

  3. Use or facilitate the use of any third-party software to modify or automate the Skill.

  4. Use the Skill to develop similar products or services.

  5. Use the Skill for commercial purposes.

  6. Infiltrate the system used to operate the Skill.

Liability

We will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by any form of virus or other technologically harmful material that may affect your equipment due to the use of our Skill. 

To the maximum extent permitted by law and taking into account that the Skill is provided free of charge for charitable purposes, our maximum aggregate liability to you under these Terms shall be limited to £1. Indirect losses (meaning losses that were not reasonably in our contemplation as a probable consequence at the time you agreed to these Terms) shall not be recoverable.

Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
